Privacy policy
This policy explains how PrepBot collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the service. Effective September 7, 2026.
We collect the information you provide when you create an account or use PrepBot, including your name, email address, interview preferences, resume or job-description text you choose to provide, interview answers, saved reports, feedback, and messages sent through our contact form. We also receive limited billing identifiers and subscription status from Stripe. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
We use your information to create and secure your account, run interview practice, generate coaching and reports, maintain your selected settings, process subscriptions, answer support requests, prevent misuse, and improve the reliability of PrepBot. We do not sell personal information or use your interview content to build advertising profiles.
When you request AI coaching, the relevant interview prompt and answer may be sent to our AI provider to generate the response you requested. Do not submit confidential employer information, government identifiers, financial account numbers, health information, or other sensitive information that is not necessary for interview practice.
We use service providers to operate PrepBot: Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Stripe for subscription billing, OpenAI for requested AI features, and email providers for transactional and support email. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect people or the service, or in connection with a business transfer.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account and product data. No online service can guarantee complete security. We retain account and saved practice data while your account is active and as reasonably needed for support, billing, security, and legal obligations. You can control whether transcripts are saved in Settings when that option is available.
You can update account settings in PrepBot, manage a paid subscription through the Stripe billing portal, and request access to or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Deleting an account or data may not remove information we must retain for legitimate security, billing, or legal reasons. We will verify requests before acting on them.
PrepBot and its providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, protect the service, and support core functionality. We do not currently use PrepBot to serve behaviorally targeted advertising.
PrepBot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that such information was collected, we will take steps to delete it. We may update this policy as the product changes; the effective date below will reflect the latest version.
